I was born and raised in Washington State to parents that instilled within me the traditions of giving back. These faculties of virtue have carried me through a career and record that I am proud of. With the many volunteer efforts and programs I have helped champion I bring a passion for the communities that I have served through the years.
My Dad and Mom always told me "Treat others with respect, work hard, and give back to others" and life has taught me that few things could be more true. With the blessings that I have received in life; 21 years of marriage to my wife Lynda, the raising of two fantastic sons, Charlie and Mason (now in college) and my career as a State Trooper, I have learned that the everyday human experience enriches life the most when it is in the service of helping others.
It is my desire to participate in this race in hopes of raising debate on important issues that are of greatest concern for me such as jobs, public education, environmental protection, health care, and public safety. I hope to improve the level of discourse by discouraging negative campaigning and focusing attention upon the public’s business here in the 40th Legislative District and in Olympia.
Sincerely,
Paul Gonzales
